The Pembrokeshire Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery was a Territorial Army unit originally set up for home defence, to garrison the forts around the Milford Haven waterway against enemy invasion. After the outbreak of the Great War, several new Royal Garrison Artillery batteries were formed at Pembroke Dock, and members of the Pembrokeshire Battery were often posted to these units before they moved overseas. There is a war memorial at Milford Haven to men of the Pembrokeshire Battery who fell during the war. Please see the Pembrokeshire section of the website for details of the memorial.
