I received some well overdue news today that another eleven Welsh servicemen have been accepted for commemoration by the CWGC as a result of my research: Rees Davies, of Llanelli; Harold Edwards, of Aberbargoed; Robert Lewis, of Holyhead; Albert Lowne, of London (SWB), Pryce Richards, of Forden, Welshpool; John Charles Russell, of Roath, Cardiff; Thomas George Smith, of Canton, Cardiff; John Lewis Thomas, of Blaenavon; William John White, of Sebastopol; John Howard Williams, of Newport, Mon.; and Thomas Williams, of Gelligaer. Please see the ‘Forgotten Soldiers’ page of the website for further details. Unfortunately another three cases were rejected.
Additionally, one other Welsh soldier was accepted for commemoration, who had been researched and put forward for adjudication by Hywyn Williams, another volunteer for the IFCP: Private Albert Evans Parry, 53866, Royal Welsh Fusiliers, of Carnarvon.
